Directions to The
Cloisters
Take
M4 bus directly to the last stop (Fort Tryon Park–The Cloisters) or take A
train to 190th Street, exit station by elevator, and walk north along Margaret
Corbin Drive for approximately ten minutes; to avoid walking, transfer to M4
bus and ride one stop north.
By Car
Take
Joe DiMaggio Highway/Henry Hudson Parkway northbound to first exit after George
Washington Bridge (Fort Tryon Park–The Cloisters). This exit is accessible only
from northbound lane; if coming from the north, take Henry Hudson Parkway
southbound to exit 14–15, make U-turn, and travel north one mile to exit marked
Fort Tryon Park–The Cloisters.
Enter the Museum and wait in the lobby. Don¡¯t pay the fee, but meet me first at the lobby by 9:30 am. I will see whether we can negotiate fee. They ask donation $5.
SCHEDULE
9:30 am: Meet at the lobby
9:30 am – 10:30 am: Guided tour (Prof. Kim will be the guide) with emphasis on arts with Christian themes.
10:30 am –11: 30 am: Lecture.
NOT TO BRING: VIDEO CAMERA, FLASH.
MAY BRING: Manual CAMERA without flash, ASA 1600 Color film, Lunch (get a sandwich. No Gimchi please!).
MUST BRING: My lecture note and Bible, and great expectation.
