Upon returning from Turkey early morning of Sept 11, I returned to the woods to see what happened with those little Maitakes I left untouched. Voila! They grew big enough to be picked. This is one of them in the first location. 

It's a lucky day. In addition to the Maitakes, I encounter a cluster of Chicken mushrooms, which look fresh and juicy. 

I took a day off because my whole body was aching from the trip and wandering in the woods for several hours on Sept 11 immediately returning from the trip. On Sept 13, I went to another location to see what was going on there. Again, I was blessed with findings like this one. This tree alone had five Maitakes around it.
