Communion Message
Enjoy the communion with joy as God’s children!
Remember and Believe
While partaking in the blood and flesh of Christ, remember what He has done for you and celebrate the truth that you now have the guaranteed passage to heaven by faith in Him.
When taking the bread and the wine, believe: (1) that the bread is the body of Jesus broken for you and the wine is the blood of Jesus shed on the cross for your sins; and (2) that you become united forever with Jesus Christ by partaking in the bread and the wine. Also, believe that by partaking of the one bread and one cup, all of us saints become one in Jesus.
Preparation of Hearts
Before we receive the Holy Communion, we must first repent of our sins before the Lord and be purified. Let me read again the last part of the Bible verse we read earlier.
1 Cor 11: 28 Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup. 29 For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves. 30 That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.
Please ask God that the Holy Spirit may illuminate your hearts and remind you of any sins you have not repented of and ask his forgiveness for them.
Prayer before taking Communion, together.
Would you repeat after me?
Oh, Lord,
Before we participate in the Holy Communion, we once again repented of all our sins before you. Please cleanse our bodies and minds with the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus Christ.
I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen!
1 Cor 11:23 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.”
Prayer of Blessing
Lord, now that we partake of the Holy Communion according to your command, please bless this bread and cup so that they may become holy. In Jesus' name I pray.
Please come out one by one, stand in line, receive bread from Deacon Sang Park, dip the bread in the cup I am holding, and then eat it.
Prayer after Communion together.

Lord,
We thank you for the privilege of participating in the body and blood of Jesus who died for our sins. Lord, we offer our lives to you, so grant us the strength to live only for you.
In Jesus’ name, we pray.

Proclamation
By partaking in Christ’s body and blood, we solemnly proclaim that we have been crucified with Christ and we no longer live, but Christ lives in us. I pray that every one of us may live the life of Christ by faith in the Son of God, who loved us and gave himself for us on the cross. (Gal 2:20, NIV)
